Thank you for taking the time to educate yourself about all the tools out there in having the prenatal,
labor and postpartum experience you and your family want and deserve!
I am a true believer in having as many tools available to support and heal your self. Therefore,
my background is eclectic. I have a BA in Psychology. I am a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist since1996; I am a Labor
Doula (DONA trained), since 2001. Also in 2001, I completed a 250 hours program with The Star Institute, www.rimastar.com.
This allowed me to call myself a Certified Massage Doula. The program opened the world of pre and perinatal psychology to
me. Reading and learning from authors like David Chamberlain, Joseph Chilton Pearce and the like about the latest discoveries
in understanding babies and how they develop in and out of the womb. The program also offered the spiritual aspects of change
that occurs for us women, as we become mothers. Lastly, I have been learning about herbal, nutrition and aromatherapies since
1996, and feel it holds a positive place alone or in partnership to Western medicine.
With all of this background, I am also an experienced Labor and Postpartum Doula. I worked for
a busy hospital in Baltimore Maryland for over a year, working with all kinds of
families and witnessing many different kinds of ways babies can be born. I feel very comfortable in the home, birth center
or hospital setting. I have also worked with many families with multiple babies.

I offer pre and postpartum massage, herbal consultations, infant massage instruction, labor and
postpartum support. “We may not be able to have our sister/mom there to support us during the birth of our baby, but
a doula there consistently helping us steer our way through the beginning of motherhood is a blessing.”
Many Blessings on your Journey, Remember the strength of the generations of women that have birthed
before you …take a deep breath and Believe…
