Hi there, and congratulations on your pregnancy and upcoming birth!  My name is Jackie Belau, I am a DONA trained doula who knew from the moment I walked into my first birth, that this is where I belong.  To walk into a room where a woman is laboring and seeing her face light up, knowing an experienced friend is there to help; I feel an overwhelming sense of pride, respect and graciousness that drives me to do everything I can to help this woman achieve her ideal birth.

My belief is that informed parents are able to make the best decisions for themselves and their child.  Knowing all of the options and possibilities gives parents the peace of mind to be confident in the choices they have made for their labor and birth experience.  My intention is not to give you my ideal birth, but to enhance your birth experience, in any and all ways that I know how.  I support women and families in achieving the birth experience of their choice.

As Sign Language Interpreter I provide services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing families as well.  Giving all families the opportunity to learn about pregnancy, labor and birth in their own language.
