Pregnant???

Will your spouse/partner be deployed when you give birth?

Operation Special Delivery is here for YOU!

Operation Special Delivery, part of the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association is a non-profit organization consisting of more than 400 trained  professional labor assistants (Labor Doulas) nationwide.  Our Labor Doulas abide by the CAPPA Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice to assure professionalism.  Our trained Labor Doulas who typically charge $250 to $1400 per birth, donate their services to women who are giving birth while their partners are on military deployment.

*This is a Free Service for Military Families.*

What is a Labor Doula?
A trained Labor Doula provides physical, emotional and informational support to a pregnant woman just before, during and after your birth.  Your Labor Doula provides non-medical support.  Your Labor Doula will come when you call her and stay with you for the duration of your labor.  She will help with aspects such as positioning, breathing, relaxation, but more importantly, she will provide constant encouragement and positive feedback.  For more information about Labor Doulas, please visit CAPPA's website at www.cappa.net.

How to Apply:
You may apply if you are the spouse or partner of a military service person who will be deployed at the time of your due date.
