I believe that there should be a strong connection between a laboring woman, partner and their doula. For this reason, I make it a priority that the women and families I work with become more than just clients, but friends as well. 

Serving Elk Grove, South Sacramento and the Greater Sacramento Area, I have a bachelors degree from Sonoma State University in Gender Studies with a minor in Women’s Health and certified by DONA. I am also the proud mother of two boys. I am grateful for the opportunity to be present at births as I feel it is an honor and privilege to be allowed to witness the miracle of childbirth.

As a birth doula I can offer continuous support, a variety of comfort measures, explanation of available procedures and be a resource when decision-making is needed. I feel that a well-established birth plan and prior discussion regarding reasonable expectations help to make the upcoming birth a more pleasant experience for all involved parties.

I am also available for postpartum visits that can help ease the transition into parenthood. I can share practical newborn care tips, assist with breastfeeding and help with everyday household chores while you and your family spend time with your new baby.
